A Vacation Worthy Affordable Friday!

Thank you guys so much for coming to the blog today! I really wanted to focus on some affordable swimsuits and coverups for this Affordable Friday. I know so many people have vacations planned this summer and would love to look and feel their best, but don’t want to have to spend a lot of money, so I have some incredible vacation worthy options for you guys!

Cover-Up

Starting with this two-piece cover-up! I don’t even know how to describe you guys. How much I absolutely love this top and short combo. I found it in a video on Walmart site paired with this exact bathing suit underneath. Shout out to Ali N for her video on the site!

Black

I love that you can buy the top and shorts separately because some of you might just want the top as a cute top to wear with denim shorts or any bottom, and some of you might want both pieces – so then you can get both. The top is $22 and then the shorts are $16. I’ve highly recommend getting both. I thought I was gonna like the black the most when I ordered it. I truly ordered it in all four colors because I’ve been looking for something like this for so long. I didn’t get the white yet so I couldn’t photograph it, but I got the green, black, and pink. So I’m gonna show you them in this blog post. The green is so so so stunning. I never would’ve thought to pair the green with this black tankini, but I think it looks so good together. The cover-up is true to size and the shorts have a stretchy waist with a tie so it will fit lots of different waist sizes – it comes in sizes extra small to 3X.

Then, of course I paired the outfit with super affordable accessories like these $15 sunglasses, $5 bracelet, $6 necklace, and $25 bag. How cute is this bag? I think it looks designer and I plan on wearing it with so many things.

Green

The tankini is great, but I would avoid if you’re smaller chested. I have a smaller chest and it’s pretty big in the chest even though I’m wearing a size small. I wish they had it an extra small, I think that would’ve fit me better. But if you have a larger chest, this top is gonna be perfect for you. Plus, it’s got really great rouching to help flatter the midsection. All the reviews are really good except for a couple where they also say that the cup size is rather large. So I would definitely say this tankini is for larger chested girls! At least D or larger. I would even say size down to make sure it fits.

Then I paired it with these high waisted black swim bottoms that I am obsessed with and they’re only $16. You can’t see them in these photos. But they’re so good. They remind me of my Left on Friday suits, but a fraction of the cost.

Pink!

Here’s the pink! I wanted to show you the pink without the shorts just so you could see that the top can be worn as a cover-up without the shorts as well. I have another pink top like this from Walmart that sold out recently and so many people have been so bummed because they wanted to buy it – I added the photos below for you. This one is almost identical so if you’ve been wanting a top like the pictures below, definitely get this top because it’s so similar. And such a fun color to wear in the summer. Especially the combo with this fun blue suit.

White Coverup

This next cover-up is just a simple white one, but I am obsessed with the fabric. I think it’s so beautiful. It’s not just a sheer white. It’s got detail which makes it look really expensive. And it’s under $25, which is so inexpensive for a piece like this. It’s also really long to cover your butt.

Swimsuits

Okay, let’s talk about these gorgeous, colorful, cheerful swimsuits! I absolutely love a bright colored swimsuit. I just feel like neon colors and swimwear just make me happy. So I got this exact same $26 suit in three different colors.

SALT WATER SWIMSUIT

It is so good, snatches you in all the right places, and is extremely flattering. Go look at the reviews and you’ll see what people say! I’m wearing a small which is my normal size and it’s definitely a little snug. So if you’re in between sizes, definitely size up in this one. You might even wanna size up in general if you don’t like your swimsuits too tight. I maybe could’ve done the medium. It’s available in size as XS to 3X.

Sharing all the different colors. I got in the suit here so you can see them all. I honestly can’t even pick a favorite. I love the Green Gem because it looks rich (which makes sense with the name!). I love the color Red Magic because it’s like this gorgeous coral that I feel like I’ve never even seen in a swimsuit and then I love the Salt Water Blue because I just think it’s striking. They’re just also beautiful.

Then there’s this pink swimsuit. I actually shared this in a recent Affordable Friday, but I didn’t really talk about it that much so I wanted to share it again. It looks like a light pink in the photo of the model wearing it on the site, but trust me it’s not. It’s this really pretty Barbie/bubblegum pink! I can’t tell if I like this one better or the coral one better. I honestly love them both.

Coverup Dress

Lastly for cover-ups, I wanted to share this really pretty cover-up dress. I love the pattern of this dress. I think it be great to throw on over a swimsuit at the beach and go to lunch or dinner. I will say this is a very A-line cut dress. A baby doll dress I guess it’s called? Which means if you’re looking for something with a fit or shape this is not it. The style of this dress is very loose and almost mumu like. So if that’s what you’re looking for you’ll love this. It’s under $40.

$10 Vintage Tee

And oh my gosh, I had to share this vintage tee. I got because I love love love it! I know a lot of you come visit Nashville because people are always writing about it in my Facebook group. So I found this Nashville vintage tee for under $10. I’m normally a small and I’m wearing a size medium because I wanted it to be looser. Oh my gosh, the material of this T-shirt feels like it’s a $200 T-shirt. I know a $200 T-shirt sounds insane and it is! But that’s what this feels like. I don’t know if American Apparel is still in business. Is it? Tell me in the comments cause I wanna know! Maybe I’ll google it after I’m done writing this. But anyway, I’m getting sidetracked. It reminds me of an American Apparel fabric shirt. They used to have the most incredible buttery fabrics. Get the shirt ASAP! If Nashville’s not your thing, they have a few others that you might like. Can’t beat the price and only $9.98.

I want to show you guys a few different ways to wear it so above I’m wearing it with biker shorts. These ones are only $10 and really flattering. They’re actually my first ever biker shorts. And a $10 pair of sneakers.

And then here I’m wearing it with these Sophia Vergara pair of denim shorts that are under $25. I’ve written about these in the past you guys might even own them. In fact, I’m almost positive that the model in the picture is wearing these exact same denim shorts on Walmart site wearing the Nashville tee. I love these shorts. And then I paired it with these super beautiful, white cowboy boots that are on sale right now for $39. They’re normally $50 so definitely get them on sale now! You guys might recognize these boots cause I wore them to a CMA event recently. I love love love love love them!

Lastly, I wore the same boots and tee with this $28 denim skirt. This skirt has such an 80s feel with an updated vibe. It definitely runs large so size down in this one. I sized down and it still is slightly big on me. So you could maybe even size down two sizes in this guy. But it’s so cute with the boots and the top. I feel like it’s unexpected fashion – fun and a little risky!
